Avoid Retirement and Stay Alive

This was one of the first books I read when I started thinking about retirement.  I wandered into a bookshop in Arrowtown and saw this on the shelf.  It is a book written with a New Zealand audience in mind.  The title may give the wrong impression.  It is not encouraging its readers to carry on with the same old routines with a work till you drop mentality.  It is encouraging the reader to fully embrace the next stage of the journey.  With chapters like ‘Live at the Hilton’ rather than shuffling off to a retirement village it has some great ideas.  You’re in charge, making decisions about the way your life will be lived.  This is a great book especially if you are still in the preretirement phase of your thinking.
